2018 Agronomy Conference
The 2018 Agronomy Society Conference will be held jointly with the NZ Grassland Association in Twizel, inland South Canterbury, from November 6-8, 2018. Please advertise with this poster.
Papers on all aspects of crop agronomy in a NZ production context were called for in early March. Papers that considered the role of digitization on the practice of agronomic management were strongly encouraged.
Topics of interest included (but were not limited to):
- Data collection and analysis
- Decision support systems
- Variable rate agronomic management
- Redesigning production systems
- Water allocation and crop water use
- Nutrient use efficiency and fertiliser management
- Delivering higher value crops
- Modelling crops and pastures
- Climate change impacts and adaptation
- Seed, vegetable and forage production
All papers are presented orally at the November Conference and published in a written version in Agronomy New Zealand.
Currently all papers are going through an editorial process including being refereed, and authors responding to comments before final acceptance.
Conference details including online registration as well as travel and accommodation recommendations are published on the Grassland Association website.
Earlybird registration closes on 30 September.
The Grassland Association has been sent a list of members so that during online registration, "membership discounts" should populate (linked to your email address). If you have a problem with this, please contact the Agronomy Society Treasurer.
An updated programme (10 Oct) is now available. Please note: Agronomy Society sessions run concurrently to many Grassland Association sessions.
We look forward to working with you to make this event another success!
