2023 Agronomy Conference

2023 Rotorua Conference

The 2023 Agronomy Society Conference will be jointly held with the New Zealand Grassland Association and the Society of Animal Production in Rotorua.

The venue is the Rotorua Energy Events Centre, Queens Drive on 14-16 November (Tue-Thu).

We are calling for papers for the 2023 Agronomy Society Conference on all aspects of crop agronomy in a New Zealand production context.  Conference papers will be published in Agronomy New Zealand.

Papers that consider how resilient cropping systems may support a diverse pastoral economy are strongly encouraged.

Session topics may include (but are not limited to):

  • New technologies in resilient cropping systems
  • Cropping systems for resilient farming
  • Future of farming
  • Agroforestry
  • Strip tillage
  • Modelling crops and pastures
  • Pest management in cropping systems
  • Māori agriculture and horticulture

Key dates are:               

           Title only submissions due                                     10 May 2023

           Full manuscript due                                                 21 June 2023
