2021 Agronomy Conference

Due to Covid-19, the 2021 Nov 3-day Conference in Invercargill is postponed to 1-3 Feb 2022 (Tue-Thu) Conference link

And the 50th Anniversary 2-day Symposium at Lincoln University is postponed to 12-13 April 2022 (Tue-Wed) Symposium link

2021 Call for Papers

The 2021 Agronomy Society Conference will be jointly held with the New Zealand Grassland Association and the Society of Animal Production in Invercargill.

This was originally planned for 9-11 November (Tuesday to Thursday) 2021, but has been postponed until 1-3 February 2022, still in Invercargill.

The theme is Advancing agronomy to meet current and future needs

So, we are now calling for papers on all aspects of crop agronomy, especially within a New Zealand production context.
Papers that consider advancing agronomy to meet current and future needs are strongly encouraged.

Topics of interest may include (but are not limited to):

  • Crops for food and animal feed
  • Crop management for efficient grazing
  • Winter cropping
  • Grazing management
  • Cropping for Catchment management
  • Mixed farming practices
  • Cash and forage crop opportunities
  • Crop improvement

Key dates are:

Title submissions due by 15 March date has been extended until 31 March (please note abstract is not required at this stage)

Full manuscript due 8 June 2021
